Welcome to Classic Sports Images! Our artist, Michael Mullins, has a passion for exploring the emotion of sports and of our sports heroes. Michael's inspiration comes from stories told at the knee of his grandfather. Attending games at the old Polo Grounds and ushering events at Yankee Stadium, the senior Mullins had plenty of memories to share about legends such as Babe Ruth, Jack Dempsey and Joe Louis. These stories evoked a passion in Mike to celebrate the "golden age" of sports.

Mike works primarily in color pencil, charcoal and pastel. Using these mediums, Michael is able to capture the intensity of the personality he is rendering.
